Let me think of others and share first.

CCM Bulletin November 2009: As a Christian gesture to the victims of the flood I and two of our Destitute Home girls representing CCM went to two villages Bierelly and Gurram gadda( just in the middle of two branches of the Krishna river). Mostly Christian population of 35 families are in loss of food stuff--rice and paddy and others and houses and crops . No loss of lives, though. Some 6 non Christian families also were affected. We distributed 20 blankets and 10 saries and some dresses to the affected people. This was from CCM Compassion Home which we bought for them for Christmas. The girls were happy to share their own things as well with joy.
We are very happy to see this gesture of Thinking of others. This is CCM Motto. CCM girls are enthusiastic in folding and getting the packs ready
At Bierelly some twenty houses were completely fell flat due to flood which was hip deep for 3 days. Church Compound was not badly affected though 4' water receded after 3 days and Pastor’s family badly affected--2 quintals of rice damaged just to dump in the trash and some other food stuffs and clothes too. This family and many others took shelter in the Church building. The village Officer ( Sarpanch also Christian) 3rd from right along with him is handing out while I, 2nd from right reading the list of victims and far behind the lady victim is our Home girl ,Sharmila ( from the same village) is just helping.
A scene with river over flown. The river is seen in the far right . And the village Gurram Gadda on the hill top far left in the background This is an isle village which never expected such flood but only after some 100 years. The flood puffed up into the village with the floated waters even up to 150 yds upwards from the bulged river level !!
I just crossed the river with the help of a Pastor in a temporary but small boat in that fiery scene( I wish I could take some more pictures.( Some public professionals took pictures for us while distributing . I took their help in getting these pictures). One example of fallen houses and damages is this picture shown at the right. It was really hard to justify the need. People thronged into the Church for help when I was distributing the materials. I was pacifying them ( from left 3 inside with grey hair) showing my hand pacifying them.
There is one more village ( Revulapally ) which I could not visit due to lack of support material. Thinking of us CCM Now Some parts of Nalgonda district also affected by heavy storms although no floods even though in the midst of pouring rains: Vempad CCM Health Clinic and staff quarters damaged seriously. I have not given the full report of our damaged office building . However the roof is very badly damaged which needs re-fixing at Vempad. Leaking and bent to fall. The staff quarters much more damaged. We are unable to stat and work in these buildings. This needs more details on technical report which we are seeking from an engineer. S.J Joseph

October 4, 2008

Greetings from Christian Concern Mission, India We would like to narrate some interesting stories of those in the Compassion Home explaining our ministry of creating opportunity for those in the Home. Very much the youngest in the Home Ruth Rani ,the Rugged Ruthie………. is the entertainer in the Home and a cream of the crop in the class but hard for handling among her friends in the Home and in the school. She is always a winner in the Sunday School in learning and singing. A spokes person, she likes to be seen first in any activity. She just crossed 5th year. We praise the Lord for her wisdom and Smartness in her class 1(grade 1). Mounika Rachel; the eldest sister of Ruth is just the opposite ,but not a dull one, more stable and reserved and generally soft-spoken. She is industrious in the class with a thorough going sense at work with a strong mental drive to finish. She never finds a dull moment at work. From the past history they are the witness to the “ wounded soldiers” in their first home which is a broken family and with no address now ! She is 8 plus studying in the 3rd Grade. Raja Vikram Reddy 8 plus , is son of an unwed mother who is mentally retarded. A very active boy at work other than studies, Vikram belongs to a high caste community. His mind is always at manual work more of a mechanical trade. He is in grade 3 who gets good grade on the prompting, since, a very moody who demands more attention of the House parents—Joseph and Hannah Prayer and support: For God’s guidance for them to become good students in class and shaping themselves into good citizens earthily and heavenly. News Bulletin July 08

Let your tolerance be evident to everyone Phil. 4:5( JB Philips)
CCM has been passing through a tough time of strange experiences over these past few months. And yet we are pushing on boldly SINCE His GRACE EMPOWERS US.
  1. A famine of rain for the farmers community . CCM is also one member Just waiting for the rains to plant fruit trees and other crops that help in self-support venture.
  2. Delay in the registration of Compassion Home building.
  3. A sudden fall in the enrolment into the Home THIS YEAR hesitating to enroll and some ( 5 ) leaving the Home by the influence of their relatives and the community well wishers with a bias about Christianity
  4. Uneasy flow of funds for the ministry and programmes being delayed .
  5. Problem of electricity intensified at the Regional Office at Vempahad
  6. Sujatha a young girl of 22 from CCM Compassion Home was sick in the hospital for more than a month and finally taken into glory.
Sujatha is a very active student in the Compassion Home, a very good athlete, winner of cups and medals to her credit. They praise and remind the Lord’s enabling grace of empowerment through her skills. She is a singer who took part in the Choir and Sunday School and VBS of the local Church where she is a member. She is a social worker in and round her company of friends with a loving concern for them who she likes to win. She is also endowed with uncontrollable whims and wishes! With all grace she also completed her BA degree and just looking for a teaching job contrary to her interest which is for a police job. She just went for summer vacations to spend with her relatives, the Lord also gave a permanent time of vacation! Sujatha Last Happy Birth Day
CCM Compassion Home is feeling empty in mind and heart loosing Sujatha. CCM Compassion Home is missing a person who enjoyed the opportunity created by CCM ministry over these years . We appreciate your PRAYERS WITH SUPPORT. Grace and Peace S. J. Joseph Executive Director

News Letter April 08 I would like to share with you a shocking and critical concern.. The Lord has been pushing us to a remote corner for testing our faith. One of our CCM Compassion Home girls in the BA degree program ( 22 years ) is very seriously ill and in the hospital now. She comes from a High Caste community . She was orphaned when she was 11 being a member of a broken family. The doctors say that she needs more longer treatment in such a paralyzed condition. She is under Acute Medical Care now for these 11 days and still in semi-conscious condition. She needs intensive care and medication even to the point of rehabilitation after coming from the hospital treatment. She should be moved back to the CCM Compassion Home . She needs a special bed and other facilities in the Home. This is very costly matter. As I see it now, it may cost us $ 3750/- ( Rs. 150,000/-) She is expected to be in the hospital for more than a month. 1. Special Bed and room at CCM Rs. 10,000.00 2. Special Care by a nurse /special attendant even after our girls volunteer to give their time with their studies and including saff. 45,000.00 3. Medical care and supervision 90,000.00 4. Unforeseen costs 10,000.00 ------------ Total in Rupees 155,000.00 In US $ 3750/ Although there are other poor and destitute girls in the Home at present CCM Compassion Home is going to be also a Home for the Disabled of varieties disabilities and where such disabled will be taken care of like in a home with a special care . With this girl the number of the inmates will be 6. The Lord has put a burden on my heart to do the ministry for these, THE LEAST I have shared my concern now. First of all I would like you to pray for this young girl in the shadow of death ! The Lord gave her a chance of survival up to this point of health . Will you please consider this request as a sign of your concern with a donation as the Lord leads you?. Yes, CCM is feeling grateful for your timely support in the past. And remains grateful ever ! In as much as ye have done it unto to one of these, the least, ye have done to me. ..Matt. 25:40 Grace and Peace S. J. Joseph Executive Director Christian Concern Mission

News Letter July 07

To Christian - Communities
Greetings from Christian Concern Mission, India. This time, I am sending this News Letter on Compassion Home. Kindly pay attention to the details. Vision: Creating opportunity towards a holistic growth Mission: Education and training with rehabilitation facility Project: CCM Compassion Home( a home where no home ) as a ministry of CARING has been giving its services to the needy and homeless girl children. This is a wing of the ministries of Christian Concern Mission, Shamshabad, India while others being health.counselling, outreaching, education/training, relief . Existing ever since 1980, with a humble beginning, Christian Concern Mission started as a Street school ( in 1980 ) as first step into the development arena with a holistic Christian emphasis on human growth and advancement. Web: www. ccmission-shamshabad.org Categories of Inmates: Aimed at serving primarily for the needs of the poor and orphaned and homeless girls very much like in a home situation, we got variety of social lifestyles of girls enrolled to get opportunity to grow and brunch out . Some come from the broken homes, some mentally retarded, a few of them in mental crisis and from the distorted/troubled families, some from the homeless and a few from very poor families. All come from rural areas. Care for Spiritual growth The girls get spiritual food from the devotional hour at the Home every day and from the Sunday School, MB Church at Shamshabad where they to worship weekly. Occasionally they get spiritual toning from the youth camps and gatherings. It is no exaggeration to say that the Home girls contribute their service more than the other local youth members of the Church and they bag more prizes from the Sunday School.! Two older girls sing in the choir and 3 lead in SS and Junior Church and VBS since they get trained from time to time. Six of the girls got baptism and growing now in grace. We feel proud of their growth and advancement.
Caring for Education and Training: To give a push for a forward movement, we aim at empowering the girls in view of the unjustifiable Indian social customs since the GOSPEL liberates the human situation.
  1. This year there are 25 enrolled; Of these 3 in degree, 3 in Junior college 12 for high and middle schools and 7 in the primary.
  2. Apart from schooling we create an opportunity for trainings in typewriting, computer and dress making in order to empower them to stand on their own.
  3. Some of the girls studying in college help in the office, because an opportunity created for a job work along with training in office administration and accountancy.
Our Past achievements: Compassion Home was started in 1984 with just three inmates when their family situation drove them to our door step for help. Taking advantage of our facility of Creating Opportunity, Maria, one of the inmates told us that they have found a home of their own and settled now having children . So it is with other 4 girls, while many others could not be in touch with us except hearing through their friends about their empowerment and placement in offices and companies etc. We provided rehabilitation facility to 3 girls with our own initiation for marriage and settlement for life. Now three of the Home girls are in degree program and two got employed in our Office. Many among them were / are from High Caste Community although other castes also taking shelter and other benefits . We feel proud of this ministry that we could say with Paul "our efforts are not in vain" when looked at the results either heard or seen. Our needs : CCM is a faith based ministry
  1. Pray for our efforts and challenges ahead of us as we create opportunity for these girls with A HOME WHERE NO HOME meeting their NEEDS both physical and spiritual .
  2. Our urgent Needs in priority : First Priority: Food each month Euro 200/- Or yearly 2,400 Second Priority: We have to build up Endowment Fund every year for 7 years beginning this financial year ( April - March )—to help maintain the Home in future and Rehabilitation facility, helping for higher education and training and settlement towards a family life and to stand on their own as you read above. This plan will help us under self-sustenance strategy for all ministries.
Grace and Peace to you in abundance Rev. S. J. Joseph Executive Director Christian Concern Mission
